Photographing Dahlia.....

Many have heard me lament that I MIGHT have captured ten decent photographs of my granddaughter Dahlia in her 3 1/2 years. 

Photographers will tell you that they are challenged to create good images of their own children.  Perhaps because it always seems that children behave better for others than they do for their parents? 

I am here to tell you that, for me, the challenge extends to most of my grandchildren.  My granddaughter, Sydney, is an exception...I think she would let me take photographs of her all day long, but I have chased one grandson over two acres to get photographs and from the time Dahlia could crawl until today, I could not get her to sit still for me.

Today I actually managed to capture 5 images that I liked of Dahlia,,,all in one afternoon.

I am biased, but I think she is a cutie pie!

26th Anniversary on the Motorcycle

Roy and I headed out towards the Frio River on the motorcycle to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary.  We rented a cabin on the river for the weekend and spent Saturday riding around the area.

We passed a sign for TxMotoFoto.com and I wondered what it was about, but the whole thing quickly left my mind until we rounded a curve and there sits a guy with a camera and a great big lens...and click...we have a photograph of Roy and I out for a ride.

The guys at TxMotoFoto had a great idea.  What a wonderful way to spend a day, sitting out in the beautiful weather and taking photographs!

Samson is here!!

David and Shae welcomed Samson into their home yesterday. They were surrounded by loving friends and family. I had the privilege of sharing their special day.
